Until recently, Anne Rice vampire queen of drama making its legendary Lestat. But in recent years in his twilight Saga, Stephenie Meyer, Charlaine Harris, with real blood, and other vampires to their creations stormed the best seller charts. But what is the most popular series, with legions of fans vamp lit online?
The ten most popular (based on the chat line) series of vampire books are:

Is not quite top ten Jeanie Night Huntress by Frost, Vampire Diaries by LJ Smith, Undead and ... by MaryJanice Davidson, Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz, Vampire Beach by Alex Duval, Night World by LJ Smith, Nikki and Michael by Keri Arthur, Mackenzie Vampires by Nina Bangs, and almost all people by Melanie Nowak. The two best series on this list is also adapted for the screen twilight Saga, movies and popular television series True Blood on HBO. It can only have contributed to their dominance in the poll. While the vast literature are not adapted to the screen, it is clear that to make a series and presents a whole new group of fans. A Motion Picture Darren Shan (Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant) was released in late 2009. House of night and Vampire Academy or adaptations of movies on TV is almost inevitable, though they appear to be close, even in production. If the new CW Network television series based on LJ Smith Vampire Diaries is a success, then these books must be in top ten of my vamp lit next election. And finally, it is good to see that icon of modern literature and a pioneer in the Anne Rice vampire made the list, although it is not in the top five. Curiously, only two of the novels of Anne Rice (Interview with a Vampire and Queen of the Damned ") has never been turned on in the film.

ReplyDeleteThe name of the vampire series by Melanie Nowak is titled
"ALMOST HUMAN ~ The First Trilogy".
Titles for the trilogy are "Fatal Infatuation", "Lost Reflections", & "Evolving Ecstasy".
ALMOST HUMAN ~ The Second Trilogy" is due to begin release in Spring 2010 with its first volume: "Born to Blood".
