The top 100 Classic Books - How do you read?

Some time ago the BBC published a list of 100 best books are published.

According to the article, the average person has read six novels.

I do not know what is more depressing. The fact that the average person is only six books read this very large book is removed from the list.

Most of the book is required reading for most schools at different levels as six only a small income.

Add to that the fact so many books that are not in top 100. Which Hemingway, Faulkner, Camus or Hawthorne?

That's the problem with the list. They are so subjective and random. Why the media continues to do?
